I am the library media specialist at Dutch Fork Elementary School in Irmo, South Carolina.  I "ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information," I read aloud to kids, I teach kids how to find answers to their most pressing questions using information literacy skills, I help kids find good books to read, and more...I do A LOT and I LOVE what I do!

I have lots of interests outside of school too. I love to read (of course!). I'll read just about anything except for romance novels and westerns. My ALL TIME favorite book is Italian Folktales, because my grandfather would read it to me before bed every night when I was little. I love just about anything by Dav Pilkey and Margaret Peterson Haddix. I also like to listen to music. I'll listen to just about anything too (except country music)...my favorite musicians are Paul McCartney (I really like ALL the Beatles, but he's my favorite), Billy Jonas, and Marty Fort (who also happens to be my husband). I love Gamecock football and spending time with my family. I have three dogs: a fat dog named Bella who lives with my mom and dad in Lexington, South Carolina and two mutts, Maddie and Chet, who live with me and my husband in Irmo.
